FIP announces FIP Euro Padel Cup for 2025

The International Padel Federation (FIP) have announced the new FIP Euro Padel Cup, which will replace the European Padel Championships in 2025.

The FIP Euro Padel Cup will take place from 7-13 July and will include a total of 40 nations for the first time.

FIP is aiming to involve more nations in the competition in light of the extraordinary growth of padel in the world – and in Europe in particular. The event will give more athletes the opportunity to measure themselves at an international competitive level, wearing the jersey of their national team.

Great Britain are set to compete in the FIP Euro Padel Cup having also played at the European Championships this year. The GB men’s team finished 7th while the women’s team earnt a 10th place finish.

New format for the 2025 FIP Euro Padel Cup

The 2025 FIP Euro Padel Cup will feature 40 men’s and 40 women’s teams competing in an exciting new tournament structure. The competition will be split into three phases in the journey to determine the ultimate champions.

Phase 1 (7-10 July) 

Who’s competing?: National teams with the lowest European rankings.

Goal: These teams will battle for four spots in Phase 2.


Phase 2 (11-13 July)

Who’s competing?: National teams ranked 5th to 16th in Europe as well as the four qualified teams from Phase 1.

Goal: Teams will compete for four spots in the final phase.


Final phase (Dates TBD)

Who’s competing?: Top four ranked teams in Europe: Spain, Italy, Portugal, and France; as well as the four teams advancing from Phase 2.

Format:

  • The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four.
  • The top two teams from each group will move on to the semi-finals.
