Comedian, presenter and para standing tennis star Adam Hills has teamed up with some familiar faces to showcase accessible forms of our sport in our latest video series.
The series will shine a light on wheelchair tennis, para standing tennis, visually impaired tennis and walking tennis – showing you how they work and how you can get involved.
In episode one, Adam is joined by former British doubles No.1 Alicia Barnett for a wheelchair tennis masterclass with ParalympisGB star Dahnon Ward.
Wheelchair tennis: things to remember
- Anyone with a physical impairment can play
- You don’t have to be a full-time wheelchair user to play
- You’re allowed up to two bounces
- Whatever your level – anyone can get involved
Dahnon takes Alicia through different elements of the game, from moving around the court in a chair to playing groundstrokes and even hitting a serve.
