Over 600 venues entered the competition which began in April of this year, with 8,000 players competing through the venue and county stages for the right to earn their place at the National Finals at Wimbledon.
Close to 100 14U junior players descended on SW19 last week (8-14 August) as the National Finals of the Road to Wimbledon took place at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
The Road to Wimbledon is the biggest junior tournament in British tennis and gives all 14U players the opportunity to progress through to compete on the world-famous grass courts at Wimbledon. This year was the 20th staging of the tournament set up by the late Paul Hutchins with the ambition to open up grass court tennis and offer a unique experience to junior players.
Over 600 venues entered the competition which began in April of this year, with 8,000 players competing through the venue and county stages for the right to earn their place at the National Finals at Wimbledon.
