LTA Advantage Wimbledon ballot 2024: Ticket sale update

• 3 MINUTE READ

An update on the LTA Advantage Wimbledon ballot ticket sale for Wimbledon: The Championships 2024.

What has happened?

We would like to apologise to those affected by the problem purchasing Wimbledon tickets through the LTA Advantage Wimbledon ticket sale.

Those LTA Advantage members who were successful in the ballot and eligible to purchase Wimbledon tickets through the LTA Advantage Wimbledon ticket sale received an email on Friday 9 February stating what day in the week of 12-16 February they could log in and purchase their tickets.

Unfortunately due to a technical issue some eligible members who tried to log in to purchase tickets on Monday 12 February were met with a blank screen before the purchase process began. This meant they were unable to select and purchase tickets. Other eligible members were able to complete their purchases as normal.

The same issue led to a small number of ineligible Advantage members receiving an email with details of Monday’s sale, although they were unable to purchase tickets. These individuals are still Advantage members but in different categories to those eligible for Monday’s sale.

There are also a small number of Advantage members who have been given purchase dates on other days in the week of 12–16 February who will also be affected by this issue.

What are you doing about it?

We have been working hard to resolve this problem. We have now identified the issue and know which Advantage members have been affected.

We would like to apologise to all those affected and explain how we are rectifying the situation.

We are creating a new ticket sale for all of those affected and are emailing directly both those who were affected on Monday 12 February and those affected on subsequent days with further information about how they can buy tickets.

So will I still be able to buy tickets if I couldn’t log in on Monday 12 February?

Yes. If you received an email on Friday 9 February saying you were eligible to buy tickets on Monday 12 February and were unable to due to the technical fault you will now have received an email notifying you there will be a new ticket sale period. You will be able to buy your tickets in this new sales window and the timings of this will be confirmed in the coming days.

I received an email on Friday 9 February stating that I was eligible to buy tickets on Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14, or Thursday 15 February – how will I know if I am affected by this problem?

If you were part of this small number of members affected by this problem you will receive an email from us before your sale notifying that you will be moved to a new sale window.

If you do not receive this email you will be unaffected by this issue and can purchase your ticket as normal.

When is the new ticket sale period for those affected by the problems on Monday 12 February and those affected later in the week?

We will confirm the timing of the new window this week. All those affected will receive an email directly with the details.

Will I still have the chance to access the tickets I wanted?

Yes - we will be releasing further tickets for this new ticket sale window.

Affected members will get access to the same selection of tickets in the new sale as they would have had in the original sale.

What are you doing about those members who were incorrectly sent an email telling them they were successful in the ballot?

The technical problems led to a small number of ineligible Advantage members receiving an email with details of Monday’s sale, although they were unable to purchase tickets.

These individuals are still Advantage members but in different categories to those eligible for yesterday’s sale. However the system correctly blocked the sales for this group.

Never-the-less the LTA has chosen to still honour these ticket offers because through no fault of their own they were notified that they were successful in the ballot. They will be able to buy tickets in a new sales window in the coming days.

What if I didn’t receive an email on Friday 9 February?

If you didn’t receive an email on Friday 9 February you weren’t successful in the initial ballot and won’t be eligible to buy tickets this week. Keep your eyes out for further communications as sometimes further tickets become available over the coming months.
