Wimbledon 2023: Which British players are competing in Junior Wimbledon?

Great Britain's junior tennis stars are set to compete at the All England Lawn Tennis Club for the coveted 2023 Junior Wimbledon titles.
There are four Junior events at The Championships: Boys' singles, Girls' singles, Boys' doubles and Girls' doubles.
Junior players come from all over the world to compete in the Junior Championships, with the tournament providing an opportunity for future stars of the sport to develop their game.
There is no prize money on offer for junior players, but they will earn crucial points towards their ITF Junior World Ranking.

2023 highlights: Following a bright spell in Colombia earlier this year - qualifying and reaching the second round at J300 Barranquilla, Piani has made a brilliant start on the grass. In Junior Wimbledon qualifying she defeated Italy's Gaia Maduzzi 10-3 in the match tie-break to book her spot at SW19.

2023 highlights: McDonald began this season ranked world No.8 in the ITF Junior rankings, thanks to three titles and deep runs at multiple junior events in 2022. McDonald has started to make the transition to playing more women’s tournaments this year and won her first professional title in the W25 Glasgow doubles. She made the semi-finals at the LTA 18U Junior National Championships a couple of months ago, as well as reaching the second round at Roland Garros in the Girl’s singles and quarter-finals of the Girl’s doubles.

2023 highlights: 14-year-old Klugman was one of the stars at the LTA Junior National Championships back in April where she claimed victory in the 16Us event and finished runner-up in the 18U. She recently came through qualifying to reach the second round at Junior Roland Garros. In her first women’s professional matches, she made the quarter-final at the W25 Nottingham and then took former world No.135 Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove to three sets in Ilkley.

2023 highlights: The 16-year-old has shown that she’s got the game to excel on the grass court – making the most of her opportunities at the Lexus Surbiton Trophy and Lexus Ilkley Trophy. She got her first top 100 win over Madison Brengle on her way to a Surbiton quarter-final and also beat Nottinghm quarter-finalist Viktorija Golubic in Ilkley. In April, Lacy was also crown the 18U Junior National Champion at the National Tennis Centre.

2023 highlights: 15-year-old Xu climbed her way to a career-high junior ranking at world No.25 earlier this year and is one of the brightest talents in British tennis. She closed out last year by reaching finals at the J1 Guadalajara and J2 Vigo, following a run to the third round at Junior Wimbledon. Last year’s LTA 16U and 18U Junior National Championships winner picked up her first pro win in Monastir earlier this year and made it to the second round of qualifying at the W100 event in Ilkley.
