A five-strong squad is set to represent Great Britain in Sydney later this month, where they will go head-to-head with home favourites Australia and debutants Argentina in a hope to break out of the groups.

The British players so far selected to compete at the 2025 United Cup include returning star Katie Boulter, debutants Billy Harris, Lily Miyazaki, Charles Broom, and doubles specialist, Olivia Nicholls.

Boulter, who for a second successive season exceeded personal records after breaking into the top 25, rejoins the squad in peak form, having won a further two tour-level titles before capping off the season with her run in Hong Kong.

To join Leicester’s leading star is Harris following his memorable winning streak on the grass earlier this season, where he recorded his first-ever ATP quarter-final appearance at the cinch Championships before immediately progressing to the semi-finals of the Rothesay International a week later.

Miyazaki is also scheduled to make her maiden appearance in the same year she achieved a career-high ranking. The 29-year-old secured two W75 tournaments this season, as well as her first-ever win at Wimbledon to compete in the second round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

Broom also received his first call-up for the squad thanks to his doubles expertise. The Briton achieved a personal best this season, ousting the Rolex Paris Masters doubles champions Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic to progress to the third round of Wimbledon alongside Arthur Fery.

Meanwhile, the ATX Open doubles champion, Nicholls, is also slated to make her debut, entering as Great Britain’s highest ranked women’s doubles player.
