28-year-old Grey has won her two biggest doubles titles this season in W75 events in Kurume and Porto, as well as a singles quarter-final at the W50+H Clavi.
However, it has been confirmed that reigning champion Andy Murray has withdrawn from this year’s tournament.
Murray said: "Unfortunately I won’t be back to defend my title at the Lexus Surbiton Trophy this year. Surbiton is such a great tournament with amazing fans so it's been a tough decision but one my team and I felt we needed to make ahead of a busy grass court season. I always love playing in front of the home crowd and I can't wait to get back to the cinch Championships in a few weeks."
