Lexus Surbiton Trophy 2024: Reigning champion Andy Murray included on men’s entry list
• 1 MINUTE READ
Former world No.1 and three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray has entered the 2024 Lexus Surbiton Trophy as the 36-year-old aims to retain his title in South West London.
Murray won his first of two ATP Challenger grass court titles last season at the Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club after beating Austria’s Jurij Rodionov in straight sets.
The former British No.1 will be joined by a strong line-up of international stars – including 12 players inside the ATP top 100 – with the tournament set to start from Sunday 2 June.
Australia’s Christopher O’Connell comes in as the highest ranked player on the entry list, followed by 19-year-old American Alex Michelson and Australian Aleksandr Vukic.
Michelson is one of three players confirmed for Surbiton who currently features in the top six of the ATP Next Gen Finals Race to Jeddah standings – alongside China’s Juncheng Shang and Brazilian Joao Fonseca.
Other standout names include former world No.37 Emil Ruusuvuori, 2023 Rothesay Open Nottingham runner-up Arthur Cazaux, 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals winner Brandon Nakashima and former Australian Open doubles champion Thanasi Kokkinakis.
