Seven Brits on main draw entry list for Roland Garros 2024
• 1 MINUTE READ
Seven British players are included in the main draw entry lists for Roland Garros starting from 20 May – 9 June.
On the women’s side, Katie Boulter will lead the British challenge in what will be her first main draw appearance at the French Open. Boulter showed that her game can translate to the clay as she defeated France’s Clara Burel in the Billie Jean King Cup.
She is set to be joined by world No.88 Harriet Dart and 24-year-old Jodie Burrage, who is currently recovering from a wrist injury.
Billie Jean King Cup star and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu is currently one of the top alternates for the main draw, alongside Heather Watson who has made the second round in Paris six times.
British No.1 Cam Norrie will spearhead the men’s line-up this year. Norrie has made the third round each of the last three years and has had past success on the clay, winning a pair of ATP titles in Lyon and Rio de Janeiro.
Jack Draper is set to feature at Roland Garros for only the second time, while Dan Evans will also be hoping to reignite his form at the second Grand Slam of the year.
Andy Murray is included in the initial entry list but is currently recovering from an ankle injury.
Liam Broady and Jan Choinski are the only Brits on the alternates list.
We’ll have more updates on the British players set to compete at Roland Garros 2024 as we get closer to the event.
