On the men’s side, 2024 US Open runner-up and three-time former Eastbourne champion Taylor Fritz has also confirmed his spot for this year.
The Lexus Eastbourne Open is a combined WTA 250, ATP 250 and ITF 2 Wheelchair Tennis Tournament – bringing together the biggest names in the sport for a week of world class tennis on the south coast.

“The Lexus Eastbourne Open is my home tournament and one I’ve always dreamed of playing,” Kartal said.
“Growing up in Brighton, I used to go to the event on school trips as a kid so it’s going to be a special moment for me stepping out on court for the first time.”
Kartal is one of the rising stars in British tennis right now having risen over 250 places in the WTA rankings over the last 12 months to a new career-high at world No.59.
The young Briton made headlines in September after becoming the 12th British woman to win a WTA singles title in Monastir at the Jasmin Open.
This followed a breakthrough campaign at Wimbledon where she came through qualifying to reach the third round up against former US Open champion Coco Gauff on No.1 Court.
In the last six months, she has added the Lexus W100 Shrewsbury to her trophy cabinet, reached the fourth round at the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and most recently made her debut for the Lexus GB Billie Jean King Cup team with two victories in Qualifiers against Germany and Netherlands.
“It’s been an amazing year so far and I’ve loved competing against some of the biggest names in the sport at the best tournaments in the world. I’ve had some great results at the Billie Jean King Cup team and Indian Wells, but this is only the start for me and I’m excited to see what I can do during the grass court season.”
Cheer on home-favourite Kartal and the rest of the Brits this summer across the LTA grass court season – tickets still available.
