To play at the first women’s event in over 50 years at The Queen’s Club adds another layer of excitement.
"This summer is going to be one to remember," Pegula said. "Competing for the biggest titles at the best venues is always amazing but getting to play at the first women’s event in over 50 years at The Queen’s Club adds another layer of excitement."
Pegula is a seven-time WTA title winner, who also made the final of the 2023 WTA Finals against the top eight players in the world, had a career-high world No.3 and reached the quarter-final or better at each of the four Grand Slams.
She has been a WTA top 10 player for the last few seasons and has recently put together one of the best runs of her career.
After winning the WTA 1000 National Bank Open, the 31-year-old went on to reach the final in Cincinnati before making her first Grand Slam final in New York.
So far in 2025, Pegula has already made the final of the Adelaide International at the start of the year, before winning her first title at the ATX Open in Austin Texas.
Pegula has history on the grass as well. Last year, she claimed her first title on the surface in Berlin and has previously made the quarter-final at Wimbledon and in Eastbourne.
