Day 14: Patten & Heliovaara beaten by top seeds in doubles final

Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara missed out on the chance to claim their third Grand Slam title together after falling short to top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the men's doubles final.

Meanwhile, there was disappointment for Alfie Hewett in the men's wheelchair singles who lost out to Tokito Oda in the final.

Patten & Heliovaara finish runners-up

Patten and Heliovaara struggled on serve from the get go and their opponents took full advantage - going on to win 70% (14/20) of points on the second serve return and converting two of their six break point opportunities in the opening set to edge ahead.

The top seeds raced out to a double break and 3-0 lead in the second. Despite Patten and Heliovaara pulling a break straight back to reduce the deficit, they immediately conceded serve again.

With a strong grip on the match and some powerful groundstrokes coming from the Spaniard's racket, the defending champions went on to close out a confident victory on their second match point to seal their second title in the French capital.

Hewett loses out on Roland Garros doubles

Hewett's bid for a fourth Roland Garros singles title ended in defeat after he lost to world No.1 Tokito Oda 6-3, 6-3 on Court 14.

Hewett fought back from 3-1 down in the opener to draw level but Oda responded immediately to regain control and saved a further three break points on his way to closing out the opening set.

It was the British star who made the brighter start to the second, racing out to a 3-0 lead to stun the top seed. However, the Japanese star soon foud his level again, going on to reel off six games in a row to seal his fourth straight Roland Garros crown.
