This year’s Davis Cup Finals Group Stage will be held in four different locations: Glasgow, Bologna, Hamburg and Valencia. The competition venue for Group D – namely Great Britain, the United States, Kazakhstan and the Netherlands – will take place at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. This same arena played host to Great Britain’s 2015 squad during both their group stage and semi-final ties.

Which British stars have been selected for the Davis Cup Finals group stage 2022?
After experiencing a very successful year for British tennis so far, Davis Cup captain Leon Smith had a long list of talent at his disposal as he announced to the world who had been selected to play in this year’s British Davis Cup team.
First up we have 2015 Davis Cup champion, Andy Murray. The former world No.1 is no stranger to playing for his country – from winning Olympic Golds to the Davis Cup trophy itself – Murray has done it all and will be looking to put on a show as he returns to Scotland. Although Murray will be the only squad member to have experienced Great Britain’s first Davis Cup triumph in the Open Era; this Davis Cup side is by no means lacking in experience.
The British No.1, Cam Norrie, has five Davis Cup ties to his name, including an historic five-set win against Roberto Bautista-Agut on his debut. Norrie has played an impressive season so far, climbing up the rankings to reach a personal record of world No.9, earning two ATP titles in the process and reaching the semi-final at Wimbledon.
Dan Evans is another member who has experience on his side as he has racked up 19 Davis Cup ties in his career. Evans started the season strong, going unbeaten at the ATP Cup and reaching the semi-final in Melbourne, and recently progressed to the ATP Masters semi-final in Montreal.
The doubles world No.1 Joe Salisbury also returns to the Davis Cup team after previously competing in three Davis Cup ties. Since claiming the world No.1 spot back in April this year, Salisbury has continued to reach new heights, winning two ATP Masters 1000 tournaments with partner Rajeev Ram.
Who will play in Group D in this year’s Davis Cup Finals 2022?
Great Britain will go head-to-head with USA, Kazakhstan and Netherlands for a place at the Finals in Malaga in November.
