Davis Cup 2024: Great Britain receive wild card into Finals Group Stage

The Lexus Great Britain Davis Cup team have received a wild card into the 2024 Finals Group Stage.
The Davis Cup Final 8 will once again take place in Malaga next year, with the locations for the Group Stage still to be announced.
Great Britain will be joined by hosts Spain and 2023 finalists Australia and Italy as the first teams into the Group Stage.
In September this year, Manchester hosted the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage, where Great Britain won all three of their ties, including a qualification decider against France. The event – held at the AO Arena in Manchester – was recently awarded Event of the Year at the MCR Active Manchester Sports Awards.
The Brits narrowly lost out in the quarter-finals against Serbia 2-0 earlier this week.
Scott Lloyd, LTA Chief Executive, commented: "We’re delighted to receive a wild card to the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage next year. As a nation we’re passionate supporters of the competition, as was demonstrated with a record crowd in Manchester in September and the fact we took more travelling fans to the ‘Final 8’ in Malaga than any other country. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event and I know the team will be determined to do our supporters proud."
