Davis Cup captain and LTA head of men’s tennis Leon Smith has confirmed his final line-up for the Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals group stage, held at Emirates Arena next week, starting from next Tuesday, 13 September.
Neal Skupski will join Cam Norrie, Dan Evans, Andy Murray and Joe Salisbury, making his third Davis Cup appearance after 2019 in Madrid and last year in Innsbruck.
Three other nations (USA, Kazakhstan and the Netherlands) compete against Great Britain in the group to determine who advances to the November Finals in Malaga.

"We are delighted to add Neal to the team", said Smith. "He’s had an outstanding year on Tour which seems him part of the No.1 doubles team on the ATP season-long Race and on the cusp of individually becoming the No.1 player in the doubles rankings.
"We have a very strong team with all of our players in really great form. We face tough challenges against the other nations in our group and we need to be ready to battle hard in all the matches in front of our home fans in Glasgow.”
Skupski has enjoyed the season of his career so far in 2022, having lifted six ATP doubles titles, leading the Race to the Nitto ATP Finals and reaching a career high ranking of world No.3. A two-time ATP Masters champion this season (Madrid and Montreal) and the reigning Wimbledon mixed doubles title winner, Skupski will be hoping to continue his winning record this year while representing his country at the Davis Cup.
He will likely have to face his regular doubles partner Wesley Koolhof when the Brits take on the Netherlands on Friday 16 September.
