The qualifying draw for the LTA’s cinch Championships at The Queen’s Club has been made, and features three British players attempting to reach the main draw of one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world.
James Ward has been there before, memorably reaching the semi-finals of the event ten years ago before bowing out to Jo Wilfried Tsonga. Ward faces Botic Van de Zandschulp in the first round on Saturday.
Ward, now 34, receives a wild card alongside Ryan Peniston (ranked No.383) and 23-year-old Stuart Parker, who are up against Swiss player Marc Andreas Huesler and Bernabe Zapata Miralles of Spain respectively.
The top seed in the qualifying draw is former Australian Open semi-finalist Lucas Pouille, who faces Viktor Troicki.
