Which British players will be competing at the cinch Championships 2024?
Leading the British charge at this year’s cinch Championships is 2021 runner-up Cam Norrie who will be preparing to hunt down a career-first title on the grass. The former world No.8 missed out on a chance to reach the final four at last year's tournament after being knocked out by Sebastian Korda in his quarter-final battle. Norrie has previously proven himself to hold a game fit for title success on the grass, having reached the semi-finals at The Championships, Wimbledon back in 2022. Could 2024 be the year he clinches the crown in West London?
He'll be joined by British No.2 Jack Draper who will be returning to the cinch Championships for the first time since 2022, after being forced to miss last year’s grass court swing due to injury. Draper has previously earned success at the Queen’s Club – having defeated Jannik Sinner and Alexander Bublik en route to the quarter-final in 2021 and will be determined to leave his mark on this year's tournament.
Also set to fly the British flag is five-time cinch Championships titleholder Andy Murray. The former world No.1 is making the ATP 500 event the first stop on what could be the final grass court season of his career and will be hoping he can roll back the years to lift the trophy one last time. Meanwhile, Dan Evans will complete the British contingent in the singles draw.
Over in the doubles draw, Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski have also entered the draw and will compete alongside Rajeev Ram and Michael Venus respectively.
Wheelchair tennis stars Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid will also compete in an exhibition match ahead of the Lexus British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships and Wimbledon.
Who else is competing at the cinch Championships?
Headlining a world-class international field for this year’s tournament is reigning cinch Championships and Wimbledon champion Alcaraz. The 21-year-old will enter off the back of becoming the youngest player in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam title on all three surfaces, after claiming his third major title at Roland Garros. The world No.2 went undefeated across 12 matches during last year’s British grass court swing and will be looking to retain his titles on the surface again this year.
2023 runner-up Alex de Minaur will be gunning to go one further this year and arrives in London as the second seed. The eight-time ATP titlist already has one grass title to his name after he sealed the 2021 Rothesay International Eastbourne crown and could be tipped to cause an upset during week-long event.
Also joining them in this year’s line-up will be last year’s Rothesay International champion Francisco Cerundolo, Rune, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, former Rothesay Open Nottingham champion Tiafoe and Lorenzo Musetti.
