Nikhil Mohindra padel beginnings
Mohindra first discovered padel at his local David Lloyd Club in Chigwell in 2013 when the sport was relatively new. While he found padel intriguing, he continued to engage in other sports until the age of 17. After he'd left school to work in his family's business, he rediscovered padel again and began to play it more frequently where he realised his potential and passion for the sport.
From there, he began travelling to Spain to train with professional coaches and former world No.1s. At the age of 20, he made his debut representing Great Britain at the European Championships in Marbella and his since gone on to represent Team GB on many different occasions.
What is Nikhil Mohindra's favourite thing about padel?
One of Mohindra's favourite things about the sport is the social aspect it brings. He considers it a unique opportunity to meet new people from all walks of life and build meaningful connections on and off the court.
He also enjoys the unique dynamics of the sport and finds the ability to play the ball even from outside of the court an exciting twist to the game.
Mohindra also loves how accessible Padel is and the fact that anyone can pick up a racket and start playing regardless of age or experience - making it a truly inclusive sport for everyone.
