British tennis star Emma Raducanu has been shortlisted as one of four players nominated for the Billie Jean King Cup Heart Award following her recent performances at the Finals in Malaga.
The Billie Jean King Cup Heart Award aims to recognise players who have made a significant impact when representing their country, shown exceptional courage on court and demonstrated outstanding commitment to their team during the tournament.
Fans will have the chance to decide which of the nominees will take home a prize for charity, as voting opens on Tuesday 10 December on the Billie Jean King Cup website and social channels.
Raducanu has been nominated alongside champions Lucia Bronzetti and Jasmine Poalini from Italy and Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova.
The British No.2 was a standout star during the Finals in Malaga where she well and truly rose to the occasion on the big stage. Raducanu opened her campaign against Germany's Jule Niemeier, where she claimed a 6-4, 6-4 win, before defeating Canadian Rebecca Marino to book the Lexus GB Billie Jean King Cup team’s spot in the semi-finals for the second time in three years.
There, the 2021 US Open champion capped off a sensational week with a third, consecutive straight set victory over Slovakia’s Viktoria Hruncakova to finish the Finals undefeated. Raducanu concluded the year having won all five of her Billie Jean King Cup matches.
Past recipients of the Billie Jean King Cup Heart Award from the Finals include Leylah Fernandez (2023), Storm Sanders (2022), Belinda Bencic (2021) and Ashley Bartey (2019).
Voting closes on Tuesday 17 December, so make sure to cast your vote while you can:
