Elite Programme

The Wheelchair Performance Pathway (WCPP) Elite Programme is the pinnacle of the British wheelchair tennis performance pathway, designed for players who are consistently delivering results at the highest levels of international competition and who demonstrate the capability to compete for - and win - Grand Slam titles and Paralympic medals.
Players on the Elite Programme will typically have progressed through the Pro Scholarship Programme (PSP) and be operating as full-time, world-class performers with an established world ranking inside the World Tennis Wheelchair Tennis Tour Top seven.
The programme provides a comprehensive, player-centred performance support environment tailored to the demands of elite international competition.
- Programme funding.
- Tournament assistance grants.
- Coach assistance grants.
- Full access to sport science and performance services at the National Tennis Centre, including but not limited to: coaching, strength & conditioning, physiotherapy, performance lifestyle, medical, nutrition and performance analysis support.
- High-performance planning on training and competition plans.
- An assigned LTA national coach as case manager.
- Medical and travel Insurance.
- GB camps tailored towards major competitions (e.g., Paralympic Games and World Team Cup).
