Jack Draper's BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells win by numbers

Jack Draper has well and truly stolen the headlines following his run to the biggest title of his career at the BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells.
The British No.1 secured the title following victories over world No.4 Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz before dispatching Holger Rune in the final.
Off the back of his breakthrough moment on the big stage, we break down some of the key numbers behind Draper’s standout display that led him to a maiden Masters 1000 title.
1 – Set dropped on his way to the trophy
It wasn’t just a dominant final for Draper – it was a near flawless week with the British No.1 dropping just one set on his way to the silverware.
Draper's blockbuster semi-final clash against four-time Grand Slam champion Alcaraz saw him drop his first and only set of the week before he closed out a 6-1, 0-6, 6-4 victory.
5 – The fifth British man to lift an ATP 1000 title in the Open Era
In claiming the title in the Californian desert, Draper became the fifth British player to win an ATP Masters 1000 singles title following on from Greg Rusedski, Tim Henman, Andy Murray and Cam Norrie.
He also became the fifth male British tennis player to break into the ATP top 10, joining an elite club featuring Rusedski, Henman, Murray and Norrie.
7 – Draper’s new career-high ranking after winning Indian Wells
After an impressive start to the 2025 season, Draper’s title win at Indian Wells led him to break into the world’s top 10 for the first time and achieve a career-high ranking of world No.7.
35 – Aces hit across the tournament
Draper’s serve has quickly become one of the most powerful and reliable weapons in his arsenal. A core feature of his game, his serve played a key role in his journey to the title at Indian Wells, where he fired 35 aces across six matches.
117 – Total winners hit during his run
The Briton didn’t just dominate on serve, he also managed to effectively dictate play and punish his opponents with his aggressive game style - resulting in him racking up a total 117 winners during his run to the silverware.
123 – Average forehand speed in km/h
Another area of success for the 23-year-old was his powerful forehand, which stood out from the crowd in the Californina desert.
Across the tournament, he generated an average forehand speed of 123 km/h – higher than his previous best and the tour average.
Notably, Draper's long-term coach James Trotman highlighted his forehand, along with his attacking style of play and serve, as key areas that led him to a first Masters 1000 crown.
