British No.1 and back-to-back champion Katie Boulter will return to the Lexus Nottingham Open this year to defend her title for a third straight season.

Local star Boulter will lead the British challenge at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre from 14-22 June, where she has won two of her three WTA Tour titles.

The announcement comes as tickets for the Lexus Nottingham Open and tournaments in Eastbourne, Birmingham and Ilkley go on priority window sale for Fan+ and Compete Advantage members.

The general sale for the LTA grass court season events, including Nottingham, starts at 10:00 on Tuesday 25 February.

Boulter will also play at the HSBC Championships at the Queen’s Club this summer. Tickets are on sale now.

Nottingham has a strong history of British champions, and I want to become the first player to win this title three years in a row.

"To win your home tournament, at a venue where you used to train as a kid, is something I can’t even begin to describe," Boulter said.

"Last year was so incredible – to lift my second title in Nottingham, in front of my friends, family and the British crowd is a memory that I will cherish forever.

"The LTA’s Lexus Nottingham Open is one of my favourite events of the year and I always love coming back. I’ve become too attached to this trophy now and I am ready to give it all out there to keep it. Nottingham has a strong history of British champions, and I want to become the first player to win this title three years in a row."

Boulter will head to Nottingham having won her last 10 matches at the WTA 250 event. Since clinching her first career title with a straight sets win over fellow Brit Jodie Burrage in 2023 – Boulter has gone on to reach the very top of the game with a career-high ranking of world No.23.

The 28-year-old Briton enjoyed the best season of her career in 2024 – winning her first WTA 500 in San Diego before defending her title in Nottingham with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over former world No.1 Karolina Pliskova in the final.

The Leicester-native closed out the season in strong fashion with a semi-final in Tokyo, final in Hong Kong and then led the Lexus GB Billie Jean King Cup team to the semi-finals in November.

Boulter has the perfect game for the grass – big groundstrokes, deadly serve and winners from every area of the court. The British star will be one of the players to watch this summer and you can get up close to all her matches at the Lexus Nottingham Open.

The Lexus Nottingham Open is a WTA 250 and ATP 125 Challenger event which has seen several British champions over the last few years, including Boulter, Jacob Fearnley, Dan Evans and Johanna Konta.

Join the amazing atmosphere of Nottingham's biggest-ever centre court and celebrate 10 years of tour-level tennis at the Lexus Nottingham Tennis Centre.
