The tournament was one of the first on the new pathway for Play Your Way to Wimbledon, powered by Vodafone.

Lilly Folland overcame a difficult to draw to win the under 18s singles. Meanwhile, Imogen Ashwell-Rice, and Lily Bignell picked up the first match wins of the season.

In the men’s draw, Kevin Lewis and Alex Wilson made it through to the semi-finals in the singles draw. Paul Preece came third in the doubles, while Kevin, alongside partner Gary Cox from England, came  up just short in the doubles final.

National Coach Will Croft said: ‘I am extremely proud of all the players with all the hard work they put in. Each regional tournament sees a flood of Welsh players competing, and now reaching the latter stages of the tournaments, which is a testament to that hard work.”
