Mimi and Viktor Win in Beijing

Welsh aces Mimi Xu and Viktor Frydrych lifted the silverware in Beijing when they won the Girls’ and the Boys’ singles events respectively at the U18 ITF J300 in the Chinese capital.
To add to her success Mimi and partner Mika Stojsavljevic were crowned champions in the Girls’ doubles.
Second seed Mimi won her singles final in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, against number 1 seed Laura Samsonova of the Czech Republic. Meanwhile, Mimi and Mika lived up to their top-seed rating when they beat Chinese duo Hao Liang and Ruein Zhang in their doubles final 7-5, 6-2.
Viktor, seeded seventh, took the title when opponent Benjamin Gusic Wan, seeded eighth, had to retire hurt with Viktor 5-2 up in the second set of the final, after losing the first set 6-4.
