Tennis Wales links up with Food and Fun Programme

Tennis Wales is delighted to have linked up with Welsh Government via LTA SERVES for this Summer’s school holidays Food and Fun programme.
The initiative’s key outcomes are educational attainment and school engagement, improved mental health and well-being, improved aspirations, improved physical activity, and improved dietary behaviour.
The LTA SERVES programme is aimed at children and young people aged 4-18. It takes tennis into the heart of local communities to those who may never have had the opportunity to play before, or thought the sport was for them. It’s all about having fun with friends, keeping mentally and physically fit all the while learning new skills beyond the tennis court. Through the power of tennis, LTA SERVES helps more children and young people build their self-confidence, community cohesion and knowledge around health and wellbeing.
Tennis Wales’ LTA SERVES lead Stuart Baker said: “The desired outcomes of the LTA SERVES programme match a number of those from Food and Fun and it made sense to link with this great programme from Welsh Government. We look forward to seeing lots of children and young people picking up a racket and enjoying tennis during the Food and Fun programme."
