Junior Four Nations: Scotland Take the Title

The 2023 Junior Four Nations tournament, which took place at Wrexham Tennis Centre, and which was hosted by Tennis Wales was a resounding success.
Teams from Wales, Scotland, Ireland and England battled it out in singles and doubles matches at under-12, under-14, and under-18 age groups.
Wales went into the event as defending champions and looking to be crowned overall winners for a fourth time in five years.
However, it was not to be this year as the Welsh team fell just the wrong side of a number of close matches.
Scotland won the overall title after coming first in the under-14 and under-18 age groups. Ireland won the under-12 age group, in which Wales came second.
Tennis Wales Head of Performance Chris Lewis said: “Myself and the other captains Becca Strelzyn and Luke Simeone were extremely proud of the players.
"A number of the matches lost could have gone either way and there were some excellent performances where our players rose to the challenge of playing for their country.
"This unique event in the calendar once again provided fantastic learning experiences for those involved, and it was a pleasure to welcome and to share the courts with players from the other British nations across a fantastic weekend of team competition."
