Cardo Group has renewed it’s partnership with Tennis Wales for 2025 to make tennis and padel qualifications and training more accessible to communities across Wales.
Cardo Group, a Cardiff-based organisation dedicated to supporting social housing providers with maintenance, compliance, retrofit, and decarbonisation solutions, is passionate about fostering positive change within local communities. This new collaboration reflects Cardo Group’s commitment to inclusivity and social impact.
As part of the partnership, Cardo Group’s sponsorship will fund a new bursary programme designed to make tennis and padel coaching qualifications and training more accessible. This initiative will provide subsidised opportunities for individuals across Wales, helping to break down financial barriers and open pathways for careers in tennis and padel.
Liam Bevan, CEO of Cardo Group expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating:
"We're thrilled to partner with Tennis Wales and support the bursary programme for coaching qualifications within the communities we serve. We're excited about the potential of this collaboration and the career opportunities it will create for individuals who may need additional support in their professional journeys. We also look forward to seeing them inspire future beneficiaries in the years to come."
Simon Johnson, CEO of Tennis Wales, celebrated the partnership, saying:
"We’re delighted to be working with Liam and the Cardo Group. They share our commitment to supporting local communities, and this new bursary programme reflects our shared vision of making tennis truly open to everyone. Together, we’re creating opportunities for more people to enjoy and thrive in the sport."
This partnership marks a significant step forward in Tennis Wales’ mission to open tennis up, and develop a new generation of tennis and padel coaches and volunteers in the country.
