Roadshow Fund 2025

The Tennis Scotland Schools Roadshow fund is back for 2025

Tennis Scotland is excited to announce the return of the Schools Roadshow Fund for 2025! This fund offers financial support to tennis clubs across Scotland, helping them deliver engaging tennis taster sessions in schools and strengthen school-to-club connections.

Fund Purpose & Application Details:

In 2024, over 30 clubs received support from Tennis Scotland, enabling coaches to introduce tennis to thousands of children throughout the country.

The fund aims to assist tennis clubs in providing 1-2 weeks of intensive taster sessions at local primary schools. The goal is to inspire large groups of children through fun, dynamic tennis activities. We recommend offering one-hour taster sessions to each individual school class, allowing the fund to reach a broad range of ages and local communities.

For many children, these school taster sessions will be their first introduction to tennis, so applications must include a plan for a follow-up offer that encourages children to book a place for a venue-based Big Tennis Weekend.

To reduce barriers to participation—especially for underrepresented groups—Open Days should feature enticing promotional offers, encouraging new players to continue their tennis journey in a welcoming club environment.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

  • Venues must be LTA registered.
  • Coaches must be LTA accredited, with a minimum qualification of Level 2 (LTA Instructor).
  • Applications should either match Tennis Scotland's investment or show a ‘benefit-in-kind’ (e.g., a coach donating their personal time).
  • All school taster sessions must promote a Big Tennis Weekend at your venue.
  • Tennis Scotland will provide editable leaflets to promote the Big Tennis Weekend. These leaflets must include a link to the online booking page.
  • If using a non-ClubSpark platform for follow-up coaching or memberships, applicants must provide insight on how transitions are managed.
  • The application should reflect a partnership between the club’s coaching team and the club committee. The maximum award available is £250.

Measures of Success:

  • Number of children and families attending the Big Tennis Weekend.
  • Number of children and families joining the club, enrolling in coaching programs, or booking pay-to-play tennis courts.

Fund Access:

Applications are now open and will remain until the fund is fully allocated. To apply, either complete the ONLINE FORM or use the form below, ensuring all eligibility criteria are met. The outcome of your application will be communicated within 14 days of submission.
