The 2024 TS Open Tour Leaderboard is heating up as the circuit enters the final stages of the season. Meanwhile, Scots find success on the doubles tour.

Rosenzweig and Prisadnikova collect TS Open Tour titles

Nicolas Rosenzweig and Teodora Prisadnikova were the latest champions on the TS Open Tour, picking up the Lexus British Tour Grade 2 titles at Newlands.

Rosenzweig added valuable points to his 2024 Leaderboard campaign. Last year’s winner currently sits in second place behind Cameron Fryer in the most recent rankings.

The top seed opened his account at Newlands with a first-round win over Layne Gold who was forced to retire after the first set.

Rosenzweig then posted straight-set wins over Finlay Watters and Euan Mcintosh in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively to set up a final clash with Fryer, who reached the final without dropping a set.

In commanding form, Rosenzweig kept his momentum going with a 6-4 6-2 win over the fourth seed to earn his sixth TS Open Tour title of the season.

In the women’s draw, Teodora Prisadnikova posted an impressive run to collect her first TS Open Tour trophy of the year.

Prisadnikova, who sits fourth in the Leaderboard standings, tallied two convincing straight-sets wins to reach the quarter-finals and face Aimee Knowles.

In a contest that went the distance, seventh-seeded Prisadnikova recovered from a set down to upset the fourth seed 1-6 6-4 10-4 and advance to the semi-finals.

In the final four, Prisadnikova faced top seed Halle Pringle where she produced another upset in a third-set match tie-break 6-4 3-6 10-6.

The final saw Prisadnikova face second-seeded Scot and Newlands’ own Heather Barlow, who had also come through a semi-final third set.

Prisadnikova kept her winning form going by posting a 7-6(2) 6-4 win over Barlow to claim the title.

The University of Stirling Open is the next TS Open Tour event on the calendar, with vital points on the line for players this weekend.

Mackinlay and Hignett reach Nevers final

Doubles duo James Mackinlay and Liam Hignett were on form in France, where they made the final of the M25 Nevers event.

Entering as the top seeds, Mackinlay and Hignett opened with a 6-1 6-2 win over France’s Maxime Gouge and Matteo Rocci.

Next up they faced another French partnership in Maxence Bertimon and Enzo Wallart in a close contest. Despite dropping the second set, Mackinlay and Hignett came through 6-4 4-6 10-5.

The pair then found a way through their semi-final match up with Antoine Hoang and Francois Musitelli after losing the opening set. Mackinlay and Hignett rallied to win 2-6 6-4 10-3 and book their place in the final.

The championship match saw the first seeds take on the second seeds Rik Muller and Niels Visker of the Netherlands.

Muller and Visker edged the opening set in a tie-break before keeping their momentum to best Mackinlay and Hignett 7-6 6-2.
