New team competition launched for red-ball district players

• 3 MINUTE READ

Tennis Scotland is delighted to be supporting a new team-based competition being run by Scottish districts.

The District 8U Inter-Club Team Programme will take place for clubs six times a year within their district. Held indoors in winter and outdoors in summer, the red-ball events are designed to encourage more team opportunities for young players at club level. It is also hoped more club members will be engaged and inspired to develop their skills.

Players aged 8 or younger will take part in the compeitions, in teams consisting of four players and a combination of boys and girls.

Clubs can decide which events they take part in and are not committed to participation in every competition.

Some dates have already been announced, with many more to come, so stay tuned to the Tennis Scotland website and social media for details. Information about how to sign-up your club is also listed below.
