Introduction
Tennis Scotland is seeking to recruit a Performance Coach for the GB National Tennis Academy (GB NTA). The GB NTA is part of the mission to build a world class player development pathway and make Great Britain one of the most respected nations in the world for player development.
The Performance Coach will report directly to the GB NTA Head Coach to support with planning, organisation, delivery and monitoring of a high performance tennis programme. The GB NTA is delivered in partnership with the sportscotland institute of sport, the University of Stirling and Dollar Academy.
The role will suit an ambitious world class coach who can help to support and further develop the GB NTA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success developing players from 13 years of age to tour level, with experience of delivering an inspirational pro-style, inter-disciplinary training environment. The candidate should hold the Senior Performance Coach (SPC) or overseas equivalent and be an LTA Accredited+ Coach or suitability to achieve this before starting the post.
- Set exemplary standards to further develop the high performance training environment
- Support the delivery of an inspirational pro-style interdisciplinary training programme
- Lead GB NTA trips to competitions and training camps
- A key member of the coaching team delivering the GB NTA performance programme
- Adopt a clear coaching philosophy and methodology, optimising player development
- Inspire coaches delivering tennis programmes at Stirling and the wider network.
