As an Intern, I have had the opportunity to work across various departments, allowing me to further develop my interests, skill set and knowledge. Everyone I have worked with so far has been very helpful and supportive on a day-to-day basis, which has enabled me to build strong relationships and grow in confidence. Coming into the LTA I didn’t know what to expect due to the way Tennis is often perceived, so there was always that sense of imposter syndrome. However, working within the Delivery Team, I have been reassured that my contributions are valued with our team’s goals and the LTA’s vision of “Tennis Opened Up” The LTA is a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their foot in the door in the sports industry, achieve goals as part of a team, and be part of an inclusive environment where every voice is heard. I am grateful to be in the position and aim to continuously build on my passions for sport.

As a new mum, I’ve appreciated the LTA’s newly enhanced benefits, which have supported me during maternity leave and in my return to work. In total, I have been with the LTA for four years and love the diversity of my role. From encouraging more people to play tennis and inspiring the next generation, to branding some of the country’s biggest tennis tournaments and celebrating the exceptional performances of elite British players, each aspect brings unique challenges and rewards. Joining the LTA allowed me to pursue my passion for sports marketing while working at the grassroots level, knowing that our work significantly impacts the sport’s visibility and accessibility nationwide.

With over 12 years of experience in British tennis, I can genuinely say there's no place like the home of British Tennis. The journey has been incredibly rewarding, not just because of the dynamic and innovative environment, but because of the people who make it all happen. In my role, I have the unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with every part of the business, making each day as exciting, inclusive and diverse as the last. Our vision of 'Tennis Opened Up' reflects our commitment to creating a culture of everyday inclusion, which resonates deeply with both our professional ambitions and my personal values.

I'm grateful to be part of the LTA and moving to the UK for a role that's helping me develop myself personally and professionally. It was scary and challenging during the start but so worth it; the work culture and people at the LTA are amazing. Everyone's respected in terms of the culture, ethnicity, and the background, so you don't feel inequal in any capacity. I remember how supportive my team had been during Ramadan, being fully understanding of its requirements and flexible with my work schedule. I'm so grateful to feel supported as a colleague and build great work relationships and friends at the LTA due to the colleague networking opportunities and everyone willing to help each other. I feel no different being in a different country, which is in large part thanks to the LTA for being such a welcoming organisation.

It’s not every day that you can be part of an organisation with such a fascinating vision: “Tennis Opened Up”. Working at the LTA is being part of a warm group of people that'll make you feel welcomed, valued and an integral part of a mission than couldn’t be any clearer: to grow tennis by making it welcoming, enjoyable and inspiring to everyone. Knowing my job matters makes me proud to being here. I'd recommend the LTA to anyone who wants to find some meaning in what they do.

As a new starter at the LTA, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Being a tennis fan, I was excited to join the organisation, and from day one, I’ve been impressed by everyone’s dedication to our mission of “Tennis Opened Up”, as well as promoting diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. It’s been incredibly refreshing to feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged in my new role, and to know that the work I’m doing is making a positive impact on fellow fans and players across Britain.

My experience as an intern at the LTA has been incredibly positive. From the moment I started I felt part of the team and involved with the wider vision of the organisation to ‘Tennis Opened Up’. I’ve only been at the LTA for a few months, but I’ve already learnt and grown so much in such a small time and that’s a testament to those I work with and everyone I’ve interacted with being so welcoming, supportive, and carrying the values of the LTA.

I’m now 3 months into the role and as a result of the various all colleague days and calls, team meetings and department inductions, I feel a part of the LTA family and really understand how my role and what I contribute helps to deliver our vision of ‘Tennis Opened Up’. It’s great to be a part of organisation which recognises the value of the experiences it can offer through the various staff benefits, socials and activities as well as supporting you to develop yourself inside and outside of your role. An example of this being after only 2 months into role, having a flexible working request approved to allow me to take on a volunteer opportunity in a Netball Superleague team which involves me working adjusted hours. I was really impressed by the attitude of my manager and the senior management in working with me to allow this to happen so I could continue to be involved in my other sporting passion, alongside working at the LTA.
